Fr. Paul Fuener- Interim Rector
Fr. Paul retired in April of this year after serving for 16 years as rector of Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church in Georgetown, SC. Before that, he had been an assistant rector for four years at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Sewickley, PA, after graduating in 1996 from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA. Paul was ordained to the priesthood that same year. Prior to seminary, Paul had been a government contracts attorney with a law firm in Washington, D.C. for 17 years, and before law school, Paul served two years in the Army as a military policeman. He and Becky have been married for 44 years; they have two grown children and six grandchildren. They reside in Kingstree, SC, and own a rental house at N. Litchfield Beach. In this diocese Paul has served on the Board of Trustees, the Ecclesiastical Court, the search committee for bishop, the Anglican Communion Development Committee, the Standing Committee; dean of the Georgetown Deanery, and as a spiritual advisor on a Cursillo team.
