This service is directed toward anyone who seeks a service with a relaxed atmosphere, biblical preaching, and contemporary praise music during worship. The activities actively engage children and adults alike in worship while teaching an understanding of God's love for everyone.
Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."Matthew 19:13
Traditional Service: Sunday @ 11:00 am
This traditional service of Holy Eucharist: Rite II is held in the church at 11:00 a.m. (During Advent and Lent the service is Rite I). The service consists of two parts. In the first part, called the Liturgy of the Word, we come together to hear the words of our Lord. We do this by reading from the Bible and deepening our understanding of Scripture through the sermon. We respond to God's Word by reaffirming our faith through the Nicene Creed, offering prayers for the needs of the world, and greeting one another with a sign of reconciliation and peace.
In the second part of the service, the Liturgy of the Eucharist, we first bring our thank - offerings to the altar - gifts of bread, wine and the work of our hands which serve as outward signs of the offering of ourselves and our service to the glory of God. In the great Prayer of Thanksgiving which follows, we believe that these gifts become the Body and Blood of Christ which sustains His community of faithful believers.
We join our self-offering to His - who alone made the perfect response of love to God through his death - asking that we may be accepted with Him and in Him. That acceptance is joyfully sealed in the receiving of Holy Communion. We then go out into the world, strengthened to live our daily lives to God's glory.
If you need a break during the middle of the week to refuel mind, body, and spirit, this is for you. We gather together for a meal, fellowship and to praise and glorify God through prayer for one another.
