About The Event
On Maundy Thursday, we will share together an agape meal, a practice which dates back to the early church. Traditionally, this is a simple meal of stew, fruit, bread, and wine.
We will share a worshipful, candlelit meal and communion in the Parish Hall, followed by a solemn procession to the sanctuary for stripping of the altar. This parallels the passover meal Jesus shared with his disciples in the upper room, after which they journeyed to the garden of gethsemane. Families with children are encouraged to participate together. A nursery will be also be available. Make plans to share this special meal with our community of believers that night!
